ALERT: Bright Horizons preschool sued for Child Sexual Abuse; Complaint alleges that school ignored warning that teacher was grooming the child for sexual abuse.

WHAT: JEFF HERMAN (, a nationally-recognized attorney for victims of sexual abuse, announces the filing of a lawsuit against BRIGHT HORIZONS CHILDREN’S CENTERS and JAYRICO HAMILTON for the sexual abuse of a four-year-old boy by preschool teacher JAYRICO HAMILTON.

According to the Complaint: (see full Complaint via link above )

  • John Doe 2 was sexually abused by his preschool teacher Jayrico Hamilton at Bright Horizons of Baldwin Park.
  • Prior to the sexual abuse of John Doe 2, Bright Horizons administrators were warned by another teacher that Mr. Hamilton was “grooming” John Doe 2 for sexual abuse. Despite this warning, Bright Horizons failed to remove Mr. Hamilton from the school, leading to the sexual abuse of John Doe 2.
  • A proper background check would have revealed Jayrico’s pedophile tendencies such as his obsession with little boys, including following hundreds of little boys on his Instagram account.
  • Despite Jayrico’s pedophilia behavior and warnings, Bright Horizons allowed Jayrico to be alone with the children where he sexually abused John Doe.

JOHN DOE 2 v. BRIGHT HORIZONS CHILDREN’S CENTERS was filed today in The Circuit Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in and for Orange County, Florida.

Jeff Herman, the victim’s attorney, said: “Child care facilities, like preschools and daycares, need to be places where parent can trust that their children are safe.  We must hold institutions that do not protect children accountable.”

WHO: Jeff Herman, the attorney for the victim in this case, will be speaking.
