Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Filed Against Palm Beach School for Autism
Lawsuit alleges classroom assistant sexually assaulted 13-year-old autistic student
WHAT: Jeff Herman, a nationally recognized attorney for victims of sexual abuse, announces the filing of a lawsuit against PALM BEACH SCHOOL FOR AUTISM for the sexual assault of JOHN DOE by an assistant in John Doe’s classroom.
According to the Complaint:
- John Doe is 13 years old and severely autistic. He is non-verbal. He attends school at PALM BEACH SCHOOL FOR AUTISTM (PBSFA).
- Upon information and belief, an assistant in John Doe’s classroom sexually assaulted JOHN DOE on November 18, 2013, and on numerous prior occasions.
- In response to notice of the incidents of November 18, 2013, PBSFA embarked on a plan and scheme to cover up the incidents and evade reporting them, despite a legal duty to report.
JOHN DOE NO. 110 v. PALM BEACH SCHOOL FOR AUTISM, INC., was filed today in Palm Beach County.
