Gregory Glazer

Gregory S. Glazer is an attorney in the firm’s Los Angeles office. In the past, Greg primarily handled difficult, complex litigation in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including race, gender, religious, national origin, sexual orientation and disability discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, wage and hour, as well as trade secret, breach of contract, and employment-related tort claims. He has been voted a California Super Lawyer or Rising Star by his peers every year since the award’s inception.

With his wide breadth of experience in representing employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, he has a long track record of litigation successes and a strong reputation among defense circles and the plaintiffs’ bar. “My passion is thinking creatively and quickly on my feet,” he says. “My strengths are negotiating, strategizing, figuring out the touch and pressure points of litigation, and arriving at innovative solutions for my clients that even adversaries will embrace.”

Greg’s new and long-time client relationships have largely been generated from word of mouth. Greg takes a personal approach with his clients, who encompass a broad variety of industries, including hospitality, entertainment, finance, high tech, manufacturing, and employment services. “Clients certainly appreciate when you know what they do and how they do it,” he says. “Clients want straight answers from lawyers who know their particular dynamics.”

As much as Greg is immersed in litigating class action and single plaintiff cases, he spends substantial time advising and counseling clients on navigating both federal and employee-friendly California state employment laws. “The laws and interpretations seem like they are changing on a daily basis, and employers have heard all of the horror stories,” he says. “Because of this climate, employers are apprehensive when dealing with difficult employment decisions, and they have every right to be in California.” Although he is an aggressive litigator, with a history of defense successes under his belt, litigation avoidance is his philosophy in the first instance. “There is always a way to make the client’s desires happen especially when it comes to separating an employee – my goal is to be creative in that regard to get the results they want while minimizing the risk of future litigation.”

Greg, a firm believer in management and employee training, and he leads client training programs and lectures on employment law topics nationwide. His strategy is to take an entertaining and humorous approach, which he has found over the years resonates with his audiences. “Attendees will recall and relate to real-life stories or an example from a training session far longer than they will remember the underlying law,” he says.
