Emily is excited to return to her roots zealously advocating for victims of sexual abuse after beginning her career as a commercial litigation associate at a Top 100 law firm.

Prior to law school, Emily was a policy and advocacy intern at actress and advocate Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation. She worked alongside dedicated experts to pass legislation in all 50 states to end the national rape kit backlog and implement survivor-centric law enforcement practices. In 2018, she was a policy intern at the Biden Foundation in Washington, D.C., working to further now-President Biden’s mission to end violence against women.

Emily earned her B.A. in American Studies from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2019. She graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2022 as a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law. While in law school, Emily was a Staff Editor and Symposium Committee member for the Urban Law Journal. She also competed as a member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy program. She gained additional litigation and advocacy experience as a student lawyer in Fordham’s Federal Litigation Clinic, as well as a legal extern with the Legal Aid Society’s Wrongful Convictions Unit.
