In more than 24 years as a trial lawyer Ryan D. Harvey has litigated matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout California, as well as various arbitration forums. Ryan began his legal career at a boutique real estate litigation firm, and then moved to a large nationwide law firm where he spent several decades practicing insurance bad faith, general liability, professional liability, and federal civil rights cases against law enforcement officers and agencies arising out of excessive force, wrongful arrest, and wrongful death.

Having spent time on both sides of the civil litigation bar, and having worked at small, mid-size, and large law firms, Ryan understands how best to strategize and handle cases of any size. He has also gained insight into the thought processes of defense attorneys and insurance companies who ensure entities that permit sex abuse to fester and proliferate. Helping victims of such abuse heal and seek recovery for their trauma through the legal process provides Ryan with an opportunity to forge a personal relationship with his clients and to help them overcome the life-altering impact sex abuse inflicts.

In his spare time Ryan enjoys volleyball, SCUBA diving, traveling, and backpacking. Each year he plans and completes a 50-mile backpacking trip that takes him as far off the grid as possible.
