Lara has been a New Jersey litigator for the past 20 years. She started her career as a Law Clerk in Mercer County Superior Court and has worked as a trial lawyer ever since. After eleven years of fighting for plaintiffs in personal injury matters, Lara was hired as in-house counsel in a Bodily Injury department for an insurance company. However, being a true plaintiff’s lawyer at heart, Lara returned to fighting on behalf of injured victims, now with the insight and experience gained from working for the defense.
Lara’s experience includes arguing many times in front of the NJ Appellate Division and once in front of the NJ Supreme Court, as well as numerous trials in NJ Superior Court, all over the State. In addition to helping her own clients, Lara serves as a court-appointed Arbitrator and sits on the District VII Ethics Committee.
Lara received her B.A. in Political Science at The College of New Jersey in 1998 and her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2001. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
