As New York has become the new epicenter for the Coronavirus, surpassing Europe, Governor  Cuomo’s younger brother Chris said he’s quarantined in his basement and will anchor his CNN show from there.  “I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills and shortness of breath.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said he is considering ordering everyone to wear masks out in public and tis decision is “under very active consideration.”
Food delivery companies like Shipt and Instacart and restaurant take out has become the new norm and some major chains like Walmart are not allowing employees to show up for work unless they take their temperatures and prove they are not over 100, the world as we know it has changed dramatically.
But one thing still has not changed ; child predators come out to prey on children during a time of uncertainty. When parents are figuring out and trying to navigate this new normal with different work schedules and may have displaced childcare, it is even more essential to keep an extra eye of caution when deciding where and with whom your children can be trusted. Children are radically vulnerable, and they are most at risk when they are alone… even in the house – you never know who is communicating with them online.  BE vigilant and watch out for your children’s well being not only with germs but with predators!
