Daniel DeVoe is a senior associate at Herman Law in the New York office, where he has dedicated his practice to representing victims of sexual assault.
Daniel joined the firm after serving as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Special Victims Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn. He also spent multiple years prosecuting hundreds of domestic violence cases at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, winning trials often without victim cooperation. While spending time out-of-state as a Deputy District Attorney in Salt Lake County, Utah, Daniel prosecuted and tried cases for the Major Crimes Unit and acted as an advisor in the trial advocacy program for new prosecutors. His years of seeking justice for victims within criminal law are complemented by experience as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney in Manhattan.
Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree at Binghamton University and graduated magna cum laude from The University at Buffalo School of Law. While in law school, he spent two years as a publication’s editor for the Buffalo Law Review, founded the OUTLaw student organization, and received the honor from his peers to be the Class of 2014 Student Commencement Speaker.
Daniel is admitted to practice in New York and Utah.
