Father Arthur C. dos Reis was a Roman Catholic priest ordained in 1926 who served for decades in Massachusetts, primarily within the Diocese of Fall River. He served at several parishes in the diocese, including St. Anthony of Padua and St. Michael’s in Fall River, before being named pastor of Santo Christo Parish. He retired to the Azores in 1972 and died in 1981.
In January 2021, the Diocese of Fall River publicly listed Father dos Reis among clergy on its credibly accused list, reflecting the diocese’s determination that allegations against him met its internal “semblance of truth” threshold for disclosure. His listing is part of broader diocesan efforts across Massachusetts to disclose historical allegations of clergy sexual abuse of minors.
