Annunziato’s name is connected to the case of James Porter, a former Fall River Diocese priest who was later convicted of sexually abusing children across multiple parishes. Multiple parents and alleged victims reported in the early 1960s that they had told Annunziato about Porter’s abuse, and that Annunziato told them he could do nothing. The alleged abuse was said to have begun in the late 1970s, when the boys were nine and ten years old, and to have continued until they were 17. The suit alleged that Souza transported the boys to various locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and elsewhere for athletic events and other activities, and that the abuse occurred during those trips — in hotel rooms, a church rectory, and his private residence in Taunton.

Father Tripp’s name became publicly associated with allegations of clergy sexual abuse when it appeared on a list released in September 2002, on which the Bristol County District Attorney identified clergy accused of sexual misconduct in complaints to the Fall River Diocese. According to that list, two individuals alleged that they were abused by Father Tripp, though their claims were noted as falling beyond the statute of limitations at the time. In 2021, the Diocese of Fall River included Father Kevin F. Tripp on its official list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. Records also indicate that he was formally laicized in 2020.

Father Wolf has been named on the USA Northeast Province of Jesuits’ list of members with credible allegations of clergy sexual abuse of a minor. The allegation, reported in 2005, is identified as having occurred between 1979 and 1981, during his assignment at Bishop Connolly High School. The Diocese of Fall River also includes Father Wolf on its publicly accused list, published in January 2021. The Diocese notes that inclusion on this list reflects publicly named allegations but does not represent an independent diocesan determination of credibility.
