The Abilene Police Department has identified three possible victims in the case of a former Abilene daycare teacher who was charged with sexual assault of a child, as reported by KTXS.
Jeffrey Forrest, 43, has been released after posting bail. His bond had been set at $100,000.
Forrest was arrested in Denton on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in Taylor County.
According to Abilene Police Detective Vickers, the specifics of the case will not be revealed as of yet because they are all part of the ongoing investigation.
Although the details of two of three cases haven’t been stated, a complaint filed with the district attorney’s office alleges Forrest had sex with a boy who attended the daycare where he worked back in 1993.
According to the complaint, Forrest molested the boy at the daycare and then moved into a garage apartment where the boy lived.
The abuse only got worse after that.
The victim finally told his father about the abuse in 2011.
Forrest admitted to committing a sexual offense against a child while talking to a sex offender treatment provider last year.
I applaud these young victims of sexual abuse for coming forward with their stories. It is not easy but I believe that only with disclosure can you start the healing process.
