Jerry Zweitzig, 71, a retired pastor at the currently closed Horsham Bible Church, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an infant. This is his second admission to sexually abusing a child.
Zweitzig has pleaded guilty to charges of manufacturing child pornography. He is in currently being held at Philadelphia’s Federal Detention Center .
Zweitzig’s video taped himself sexually abusing an infant in 2010. Investigators found the video, while preparing for Zweitzig’s hearing and sentencing for a different child sexual abuse and exploitation case.
In the first case, Zweitzig was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and five counts of manufacturing and attempted manufacturing of child pornography back in May 2019.
He is accused of sexually abusing a girl, starting from when she was just 5 years old and continuing until she was 11. HE is alos accused of photographing and videotaping himself sexually abusing the girl. Investigators found his extensive collection of child pornography involving thousands of other children.
Zweitzig’s original sentencing date of June 16 was pushed back due to the coronavirus court shutdown. Zweitzig faces at least 15 years in prison.
