New Statute of Limitations Reform Bill in New Jersey Senate and Assembly

New Statute of Limitations Reform Bill in New Jersey Senate and Assembly

There is a new Statute of Limitations (SOL) reform bill in both houses in New Jersey. It extends the civil SOL to age 48 and has a 2-year window that applies to institutions, supervisors, employees, and public schools!

This bill scales back the original bill, which eliminated the SOL backwards and forwards. This bill is the compromise in response to objections raised by the Catholic bishops.

If you have ANY connection to NJ, please contact NJ Senators ASAP in support of S2281 (formerly S1651) and members of the Assembly in support of A3402 (formerly A2405). It is possible that there will be a vote in the Senate as early as Thursday, OCTOBER 25!

For the survivors of child sex abuse in NJ, let’s do what is needed to make this happen!
