Second Lawsuit Filed Against Discovery Preschool
for Child Sexual Abuse
Lawsuit alleges “Mr. Ola”, a music teacher now facing criminal charges, was left alone in the classroom with children
WHAT: Jeff Herman, a nationally recognized attorney for victims of sexual abuse, announces the filing of a second lawsuit against DISCOVERY PRESCHOOL for child sexual abuse by OLAKUNLE OMOMOWO, a music teacher at the daycare. Omomowo is currently being held without bond on four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
According to the Complaint:
- In May, 2013, Jane Doe told her mother that she played a game which included Mr. Ola tickling her genital area under her underwear.
- Upon information and belief, teachers at Discovery would routinely leave the classroom while Mr. Ola was in the classroom for significant periods or time, rendering him the only adult in the room with the children. Upon information and belief, Mr. Ola would also be left alone with children during naptime.
- Upon information and belief, Mr. Ola sexually abused multiple children at Discovery, both girls and boys. As of the present date, approximately eight children who attended Discovery have disclosed abuse by Mr. Ola.
JANE DOE NO. 36v. DISCOVERY PRESCHOOL was filed in Broward County.
