Clayton man pleads guilty to kissing, touching kids at Newark daycare

A Clayton man is facing up to 31 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual offenses against three young children, reports the Delaware State News.

Anthony Rodriguez, 21, pled guilty to sexual solicitation of a child, and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust, authority or supervision.

Acording to the Department of Justice, Rodriguez kissed and touched the young children while working as a teacher at the Kidz Inc. Academy day care in Newark during the summer of 2015.

He will be sentenced by Superior Court Judge Eric Davis on Nov. 15.

Although the guilty plea and sentence will not erase the horrific events that took place, I hope it serves as validation for the victims for them to have while beginning their journey to heal.
