A preschool teacher at Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park is being investigated by the Florida Department of Children and Families after allegations of sexual abuse surfaced, reports WESH 2.
It is alleged a 3-year-old boy was sexually abused by his teacher at Bright Horizons, mostly during and time and in the bathroom.
Back in May, a letter was sent home about a different incident made parents aware that DCF was investigating alleged inappropriate touching of a different child by the same teacher.
DCF is currently investigating both cases against the teacher who is no longer employed at the school.
There was a teacher who specifically complained that she observed (the teacher) engaging in a groom behavior. Grooming behavior is a behavior that a predator engages in to sexually abuse a child. Despite all of that, nothing happened.
Child care facilities, like preschools and daycares, need to be places where parent can trust that their children are safe. We must hold institutions that do not protect children accountable.
