Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Filed Against West Palm Hospital
Lawsuit alleges hospital employee sexually abused 9-year-old boy

WHAT: Jeff Herman (www.hermanlaw.com), a nationally recognized attorney for victims of sexual abuse, announces the filing of a lawsuit against West Palm Hospital for child sexual abuse by hospital employee Dan Furio.

According to the Complaint:

  • This lawsuit arises from the childhood sexual abuse in May 2013 of a vulnerable nine year-old boy, JOHN DOE NO. 108 (“JOHN”), while he was in the custody of West Palm Beach Hospital after he was admitted to the psychiatric department because he was deemed an imminent harm to himself.
  • The sexual abuse of JOHN was perpetrated by hospital employee Dan Furio, known in the hospital as “Mr. Dan”, who was hired by the hospital.
  • Prior to being hired at the hospital, Dan Furio had been arrested in September 2005 for illegal exposure of his sexual organs in Palm Beach County.

JOHN DOE NO. 108 v. WEST PALM HOSPITAL (Case No. 502013 CA013280) was filed in Palm Beach County Court.
