Six-year-old girl sexually assaulted by a McDonald’s employee

WHAT: JEFF HERMAN (, a nationally-recognized attorney for victims of sexual abuse, announces the filing of a lawsuit against McDONALD’S for the sexual assault of a six-year-old patron by KEVIN DOOLEY, a 30-year-old mentally disabled employee at McDONALD’S.

According to the Complaint:

  • On or about December 28, 2014, six-year-old JANE DOE accompanied her grandmother to the Trotwood McDonald’s.
  • The Trotwood McDonald’s has a “PlayPlace” – an indoor playground with an enclosed slide, crawling areas, and ball pit.
  •  While playing inside the enclosed “tubes” of the “PlayPlace” Jane Doe encountered Kevin Dooley, a 20-year-old Trotwood McDonald’s employee, who would spend his lunch break inside of the enclosed portion of the “PlayPlace.”
  • Mr. Dooley stopped JANE DOE inside of the “PlayPlace” and began speaking to her.  He then grabbed Jane Doe’s arm, reached inside of her underwear and fondled her vagina.
  • Mr. Dooley then opened the front of his pants, exposing his genital area.  Mr. Dooley also grabbed Jane Doe’s hand and attempted to place her hand on his penis.
  • Dooley admitted to the police he touched Jane Doe’s vagina and was charged with “Forcible Fondling – Sexual Battery.”  Mr. Dooley’s criminal trial is currently pending.

JANE DOE v. McDONALD’S was filed yesterday in The Circuit Court of Maury County, Tennessee at Columbia.

Jeff Herman, the victim’s attorney, stated: “This man should not have been anywhere near the playground area.  When it comes to protecting kids, we must err on the side of caution.”
