Carina Nixon is an experienced attorney with a deep-seated dedication to social justice and commitment to combating all forms of sexual abuse and violence.
Prior to Herman Law, Carina worked as a Senior Attorney at CHILD USA, where she contributed to the organization’s efforts to eliminate child sexual abuse and exploitation through strategic legal and policy advocacy. She became well-versed in sexual abuse issues through writing numerous amicus briefs and legal publications related to emerging and newly enacted anti-sexual abuse legislation. Carina began her career as an insurance defense attorney, where she gained valuable litigation experience.
Carina earned her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law, where she served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court team. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Carina is admitted to practice law in the state of California.
